51230 bearings consist of three parts, a shaft and housing washer that have annular grooves in them and a caged ball bearing assembly that is sandwiched in between them. Assembly and mounting is a simple operation as the parts are separate. They support axial loads in one direction. Clearance is provided in the bore of one of the raceways to allow for alignment. 

51230 bearings consist of shaft washer, a housing washer and a ball and cage thrust assembly. They are separable which means that mounting is simple. They can accommodate axial loads in one direction only and must not be subjected to any radial load.

Lubrication of 51230 bearings 

51230 bearings can be lubricated with oil or grease. Higher speeds can be achieved with oil lubrication. In order to allow oil to flow between the two rows of balls, the housing locating washer has a lubrication groove and lubrication holes.

At high speeds, overlubrication of the radial bearing can be prevented if the installation space is separated between the axial angular contact ball bearing and the cylindrical roller bearing.
